What is a Lube Technician?

Lube Technicians do…

  • Oil change
  • Tires
  • Maintenance services
  • Battery replacement and services
  • Multi-point inspections

Normally, the lube tech position is an entry-level position. During a traditional career path, a technician will spend 2 years as a lube tech before moving towards brakes and other areas.

Apprenticeship

Another entry-level position is apprenticeship. This position allows a senior technician to help develop and educate a new technician. For the wisdom, the new technician, through time, will repay the senior technician by providing physical help.

Big Tip!

Partnering these positions with either a Automotive trade school or Automotive classes at community college will boost a Technician’s experience, confidence, and knowledge.
